Bike Check
Before any ride, you should go over you bike and check tires, air pressure, brakes, cables,
chain, hubs, spokes, shifter. You should be totally familiar with your bike and its handling characteristics. You may consider a tune up before the ride. There are many fine bike shops around Omaha that can tune up your bike for a reasonable price. They can check your wheels (for trueness and check for loose spokes, lubrication, etc. ) But remember, summer is a busy time. Call your favorite shop and ask when is the best time to bring in your bike. As the weather gets nice, everyone comes in to have their bike serviced. Not a good idea the day before your ride!
